PDD (PERVASIVE DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY)

Therapists at the Center for Social Success recognize the special challenges faced by the child diagnosed with a pervasive developmental delay. We provide specialized programs for children with Aspergers and high functioning autism, including home visits to develop behavior management plans, intensive social skills training dyads, and combination sensory integration and social skills training programs. We also provide therapy to deal with common problems such as obsessive compulsive behavior and temper control problems. We incorporate Alert Program concepts all our training efforts to help children with PDD learn to better modulate their activity levels to the demands of different settings and situations. We even offer an advanced social skills training group that uses costumes, acting lessons, and videotaping to help PDD children improve their empathy, facial animation, imagination, and conversation skills.
